Healthscope Independence Services provides attendant care and in-home services to people in their own homes.
This attendant care may include:
- Rehabilitation Support - including assistance with the implementation of personalised programs designed and monitored by treating health professionals.
- Community Access and Recreational Support - facilitating the client's access to recreation and leisure pursuits in community-based activities.
Our support workers are carefully selected and provided with ongoing training and support to provide personal assistance, domestic support and supervision of activities of daily living 24/7 to ensure individuals' needs are met.
Clients are supported by our staff to guide them to achieve their goals and independence.
Our Post-hospital care service is designed to help individuals make a successful transition from hospital to home.
We offer both short-term and ongoing care including:
- 1:1 support in the home
- Community care and sleepovers
- Cooking and domestic cleaning
- Respite care and supervision
- Showering, dressing and personal hygiene.
Healthscope Independence Services is an accredited provider of unique and diverse accommodation services for clients with acquired brain injuries and disabilities.
We have a range of long-term, short-term, transitional and respite accommodation options in metropolitan Melbourne, country Victoria, NSW and the Northern Territory.
Our accommodation options include group houses and individual units providing various levels of care designed to meet our client's individual needs.
Our houses are designed to support our client's independence and have a home-like atmosphere.
Free wi-fi is offered at all of our residential houses to enhance clients communication and social interaction.
Families and visitors can also access the free wi-fi while visiting the houses.
Clients are encouraged to pursue their interests, hobbies and community involvement.
Each of our houses has support workers on-site to provide personal assistance, domestic support and supervision of daily living activities.
Our support workers are professional and empathetic and are provided with ongoing training and support.
Staff are supportive and work closely with clients to enhance their steps towards independence.
